By Wonda JYes, mama say there will be days like this and she also told you that “happyness” is the key to life. So whomever you find that happiness with shouldn’t matter, right? Wrong,
said all the social media racist vultures who descended upon Twitter and Instagram recently to let one white iCarly star know, they will never let she be happy for dating who she like.
The saga all began after NBA Basketball player, Andre Drummond, seem to have found love and, yes, happiness on Instagram. The 20 year old Drummond set his sights on
his eye-candy, former Nickelodeon iCarly star, Jennette McCurdy. Drummond started his courtship by featuring the 21 year old McCurdy on his Woman Crush Wednesday. Suddenly, their friendship progressed from social media chat to real life outdoor activities.
And according to reports, this past weekend, the duo was seen with friends going to the movies, visiting Disneyland, and playing Laser Tag. Their weekend was documented through social media and the pair seem “happy” together. BUT, here comes the UNHAPPY racist haters who have nothing constructive to do or say. They flood message boards and Twitter with a barrage of racist comments and taunts, according to Beyond The Buzzer.
As a result, some things we learn about racist is that they are solidified by one common denominator – prejudice hate. Insulated behind the cover of their computer screen where they find refuge – embolden – to launch hateful verbal attacks and say anything without fear of being identified. These self haters make it clear to Jennette McCurdy and Andre Drummond that they will never stop the hate as along as the two continue to date.
No one with basic commonsense want the ignorant title of racist slap on them. But for some reason they proudly accept the role online where they can post racially incendiary comments anonymously. Over at the Huffington Post they are debating changing their comment system to force users to post comments under their real name, perhaps that will put an end to the online racist sanctuary.
