Simon Cowell is set to surround himself with female judges on the new season of “The X Factor” with insiders revealing he’ll have three top pop singers joining the show.

Kelly Rowland served as a judge on the X Factor show in the U.K.

Demi Lovato has already confirmed her return to the show and now it looks as if Kelly Rowland, who served as a judge on the show in the U.K., will join her.

EW.com reports Rowland is “firming up a deal” to join the show. There is no word on the identity of the third lady but sources suggest singer/actress Paulina Rubio is in talks to become the music and TV mogul’s third sidekick judge.

The deals will have to be completed soon as “The X Factor” starts production on season three next week. The new judges will replace season two panellists Britney Spears and Antonio “L.A.” Reid, who both departed the show in January.

Pat Robertson is in the business of giving advise and share his opinions on subjects like homosexuality, politics and the coming of the Mark of the Beast. But it was the famous televangelist’s opinion on marriage that turn heads during Wednesday’s episode of his daily television program. “The 700 Club Robertson has advice for women who are struggling to forgive their cheating husbands: “Well, he’s a man.”

Robertson told a woman whose husband was cheating on her that she should stop focusing on the adultery and instead ponder,  “Does he provide a home for you to live in, does he provide food for you to eat, does he provide clothes for you to wear, is he nice to the children…is he handsome?”

Just 24 hours after The White House released 100 pages of Benghazi emails, a report has surfaced alleging that Republicans released a set with altered text.

CBS News reported Thursday that leaked versions sent out by the GOP last Friday had visible differences than Wednesday’s official batch. Two correspondences that were singled out in the report came from National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes and State Department Spokeswoman Victoria Nuland.

The GOP version of Rhodes’ comment, according to CBS News: “We must make sure that the talking points reflect all agency equities, including those of the State Department, and we don’t want to undermine the FBI investigation.”

The White House email: “We need to resolve this in a way that respects all of the relevant equities, particularly the investigation.”

The GOP version of Nuland’s comment, according to CBS News: The penultimate point is a paragraph talking about all the previous warnings provided by the Agency (CIA) about al-Qaeda’s presence and activities of al-Qaeda.”

The White House email: “The penultimate point could be abused by members to beat the State Department for not paying attention to Agency warnings.”

The news parallels a Tuesday CNN report which initially introduced the contradiction between what was revealed in a White House Benghazi email version, versus what was reported in media outlets. On Monday, Mother Jones noted that the Republicans’ interim report included the correct version of the emails, signaling that more malice and less incompetence may have been at play with the alleged alterations.

In that April interim report on Benghazi (which Buck noted), the House Republicans cited these emails (in footnotes 56 and 57) to note an important point: “State Department emails reveal senior officials had ‘serious concerns’ about the talking points, because Members of Congress might attack the State Department for ‘not paying attention to Agency warnings’ about the growing threat in Benghazi.”

Despite the White House’s Wednesday move to release emails, Republicans continued to call for more information on Thursday.

“While these hundred are good and they shed light on what happened, we have nearly 25,000 that they haven’t released,” Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) told Fox News on Thursday. [h/p]

We have laws that prohibits these fees, but they just wont die because several retailers continue to slap these fees on unsuspecting or uninformed customers.

Some gas stations, convenience stores and other merchants are illegally charging fees for debit card users, as well as putting minimum purchase amounts on customers who use the bank cards, according to a new report.

A January settlement of a class-action lawsuit allowed merchants to start adding “checkout fees” on customers who pay with credit cards, but it exempted debit card users from the extra charges. Despite this, some merchants still hit debit card users for paying with their bank cards, notes GoBankingRates.com.

Ten states — California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Oklahoma and Texas — actually prohibit surcharges for credit card users, but that can be a gray area. For instance, gas stations sometimes offer cash discounts to customers. While that’s not adding an actual charge for credit card users, it still effectively dings them when compared with cash-wielding customers.

Another familiar annoyance is when a cash register informs you that the store has a minimum purchase amount, prompting many shoppers to pick up a few items just to hit that figure. But it turns out that both Visa (V) andMasterCard (MA) have stated that minimums can’t be imposed on debit cards, according to GoBankingRates.com.

That’s likely to be news to most folks. (The minimum can be applied to credit cards, though.)

So what should you do if you’ve been charged an illegal fee? If you live in one of those states that outlaws credit card processing fees, Visa encourages you to report the retailer to your state attorney general’s office, GoBankRates.com.

Consumers hit with minimum purchases or surcharges on debit cards should also call the customer service number on the back of their cards, the report says. That’s because banks that issue the cards will report violations to Visa or MasterCard.    [msn]

The rise of prejudice and racism give birth to a lot of issues our society is dealing with today. And sadly will never totally get rid of. One of the bi-product of racism, is that it give every ethnic group the need to create some type of organization design specifically to advance the skills of people from that ethnic group. This is what lead a very wealth individual to conclude a “whites only” Scholarship was necessary. And yes she created one and attach it to the books of an American ivy league university, which it is now trying to get rid of.

Columbia decides maybe it should revise ‘whites only’ scholarship.

They say tolerance and cultural awareness come with education, but tell that to the esteemed Ivy League school that still has a “whites only” scholarship on the books. Established by a very rich and apparently very racist woman in 1920, the Lydia C. Roberts Graduate Fellowship entitles the lucky recipient to funds for a Columbia University education — as long as the student is from Iowa, not studying law and Caucasian. Here’s the kicker: None of the provisions of the fund (now worth about $800,000) can be changed without a court order, which Columbia is reportedly trying to do. Although the scholarship hasn’t been given out since 1997, it’s still unknown if Columbia followed each stipulation in years prior. [Source]

Angelina Jolie’s disclosure that she had her breasts removed.

Actress, mother and philanthropist, Angelina Jolie, shook the entertainment world with a gripping personal op-ed story publish in the New York Times. In the article, Jolie, explain that she decide to remove her two perfectly good breasts because some Doctor told her she had an 87% chance of getting breast cancer in her lifetime, due to being a carrier of a gene mutation called BRCA1.

The preventive double mastectomy she did sometime last month didn’t event eliminated her chances 100%, it reduces her chances of getting breast cancer to 5%.  In response one writer for Slate.com wrote: “I felt so honored to read Jolie’s detailed first-person account of her experience, as well as her advocacy for all the women around the world to gain access to the too-expensive tests and procedures that have empowered her to fight for her own life.”

Well not every body had that warm-lovely feeling of respect. Some people claiming to be be her fans question if this is a smoke screen for getting a boobs job on boobs that was already in the sagging department. Few suggested that her medical emergency was just a tabloid stunt to cover up elective breast implants. Others morbidly asked after the whereabouts of the breast tissue removed from her body. “RIP Angelina’s boobs” was a typical ignorant comment. Said one commenter on a Jezebel post about the op-ed, “How many guys stopped reading as soon as they realized Angelina Jolie has no breasts—she’s dead to me!”

You might dismiss these commenters as trolls or ignorant and mean spirited, but the fact is none of us know the true reason why Jolie did this other than what she tell us. Some women do decide to get a boobs job after having kids and doing all that breast feeding. Not all women emerge the same from child birth, and that just maybe part of her decision to get the procedure done.

Remember, her mother died in her early 50s from breast cancer [that is too young]. So while she may have cut some fans off in the process,  she may have done the right thing and extend her life in the process.

If you believe in fair justice, then that justice must be extended to all people including villains like O.J. Simpson. Simpson 2008 trial in Las Vegas was almost a kangaroo court proceedings. Simpson foes lined up to railroad him for escaping a double murder he was found not guilty of over a decade ago.

O.J. Simpson will head to a Las Vegas courtroom Monday in a bid to have his conviction on armed robbery and kidnapping charges thrown out.

As a result evidence were ignore such as the two Las Vegas police detectives overheard in a taped  conversation  saying that if California authorities couldn’t “get” Simpson, on those double murder, those in  Nevada would. And to make matters worst, the tape was played at the trial but the evidence ignore.

Now serving 9 to 33 years in prison for his role in a bizarre hotel room robbery, Simpson will head to a Vegas courtroom on Monday in a bid to have this conviction on armed robbery and kidnapping charges thrown out on the grounds that he did not receive proper legal representation at his trial. Yes, he may have a good and strong case depending on who Simpson can afford to hire as legal council.

The former actor and football star argued he was trying to reclaim memorabilia that had been stolen from him, has filed what lawyers call a “Hail Mary motion” seeking freedom.  Simpson argues his conviction should be set aside and a new trial ordered because of “ineffective counsel and conflict of interest.”

Most  defendants  lose these writ of habeas corpus motions, but in this case nobody is taking bets on  the  outcome.”Nothing is the same when O.J. is involved,” said  Loyola Law School  professor Laurie Levenson, who observed Simpson’s Los  Angeles trial. “An  O.J. case is never like any other case.”

A high-profile neo-Nazi murder trial has opened in Germany, with the five accused appearing in public for the first time since their arrest. NBCNews.com’s Richard Lui reports.

The surviving member of a neo-Nazi hate gang went on trial on Monday, in Germany, for a series of racist murders that scandalized Germany and exposed authorities’ inability or reluctance to recognize right-wing hate crimes.

The chance discovery of the gang, the National Socialist Underground (NSU), which had gone undetected for more than a decade, has forced Germany to acknowledge it has a more militant and dangerous neo-Nazi fringe than previously thought.

Beate Zschaepe, 38, is charged with complicity in the murder of eight Turks, a Greek and a German policewoman between 2000 and 2007, as well as two bombings in immigrant areas of Cologne and 15 bank robberies.

Zschaepe, wearing a black jacket and white shirt, chatted with her lawyers before the judges entered, her back turned to the television cameras. One of four other defendants charged with assisting the NSU hid under a dark hood.

Outside the courthouse, German-Turkish community groups and anti-racism demonstrators held up banners including one that read: “Hitler child Zschaepe, you will pay for your crimes”.   [source]

The Miami Heat showed again they can get down and dirty.

LeBron James came on strong down the stretch to finish with 25 points, Chris Bosh added 20 points and 19 rebounds, and the Heat followed up the most lopsided playoff win in franchise history with a 104-94 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Friday night to take a 2-1 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Shaking off a shove to the court that earned Nazr Mohammed an ejection and James an accusation of flopping from Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau, the four-time MVP came through down the stretch, scoring 12 in the fourth quarter.

Norris Cole matched his postseason career high with his second straight 18-point performance, and the Heat pulled out a tight win after blasting the Bulls 115-78 on Wednesday.

This time, Chicago refused to go quietly. Never mind that the Bulls were coming off the worst playoff loss in franchise history. Put aside the fact that the ailing Luol Deng and injured Kirk Hinrich (calf) remained sidelined, not to mentionDerrick Rose, and that Mohammed got ejected in the second quarter for shoving James to the floor.
